How to get to Camp Khwai?
Most guests arrive at Camp Khwai via a light aircraft transfer from Maun Airport, touching down at the nearby Khwai Airstrip, where camp staff will be on hand to offer a warm welcome. From there, a 20-minute road transfer winds through the remarkable landscapes of the Khwai region, offering your very first taste of the incredible wildlife and wilderness that awaits.
Although air transfers are advised, Camp Khwai is also accessible by road from Maun. However, a capable 4x4 vehicle is strongly recommended, particularly during the rainy season when the terrain becomes characteristically challenging.

Upon arriving at camp, guests are usually welcomed with refreshments and invited to settle in at their leisure. Take a moment to unwind and explore the camp, and your accommodation, before heading out on your first activity.
